A musician of uncommon merit is chosen each year, one that shows above average abilities in their song writing skills. We the music committee, toil endlessly ofttimes fraught with indecision. We do however, come to a decision of a sole recipient of this award. With that being said....This accolade is a year long tribute to the quality of musicians that frequent our festival. To be awarded this exceedingly meritorious status is a tribute to their skills and abilities.

This person can be a stage performer or a shoreline jam performer.

A consensus has been reached and.... Jake Rowan of Minneapolis, MN has officially been named the 2007, Unvarnished Music Festival Song Writer of the year!
