Windsurfing Notice of Race
1. The Event
The Windsurfing Regatta & Unvarnished Music Festival will be held on June 11-13, 2010 in Worthington, MN (USA). Worthington is located in the warm and windy S.W. corner of Minnesota. Registration at Sailboard Beach on Lake Okabena (NE side of the lake) This event is USW National Racing Tour Event. The results obtained by current USW members in the NRT classes will count toward the USW National Ranking.
2. Organizer
The Windsurfing Regatta & Unvarnished Music Festival is organized by Worthington Okabena Windsurfers under specified conditions laid down by US Windsurfing, and MoWind.
3. Venue & Weather
Racing will take place at Sailboard Beach in Worthington Minnesota. The site is located only 3 hrs from the Minneapolis International Airport. During June the weather conditions are: AVERAGE WIND 15 KNOTS; Water temp:65 -75 Average air temp: 75�F. Wetsuits maybe required.
4. Rules
This event is governed by the ISAF Windsurfing Racing Rules, the rules of the USW National Race Tour, the NOR.
5. Competitor Eligibility
All Competitors must be members of USWA in order to be ranked nationaly or a member of the countries governing www.windsurfing.org. Competitors may join USWA onsite during registration hours on June 11 & 12.
6. Fleets and Classes
6.1 USW NRT Competition will be held only in the A Fleet in the following classes: Unlimited (open), Limited (8.5 Sail Size Max)(open), Women(open), Hybrid, Formula, Formula Experience.

7. Prizes
7.1 Crowned Worthington Windsurfing Regatta Champion
7.2 Trophies shall be awarded to at least the first 3 in each division.
8. Measurement
It is the responsibility of each competitor to ensure that his/her sailboard and equipment conforms to Class Rules. Measurement and equipment checks may be made throughout the event.
9. Sail Numbers
All sails must have a sail number. All Sail Numbers should conform to the ISAF Rules: 9 inches high with a 2 inch standard, bold, block font and should be placed on the upper half starboard side of the sail. Sail Numbers available at registration.
10. Liability
Competitors take part in all races at their own risk. The Organizing Authority (Worthington Okabena Windsurfers), Mowind, US Windsurfing, ISAF, FW Class, IWA or any of their officials or representatives or the sponsors or their officials or representatives are not responsible, under any circumstances, for any damage, loss or injury either ashore or on the water either to persons or equipment, which may result. Participation in this event, supporting events and in each race in them is at the sole discretion of the sailor and at his/her own risk.
11. Courses
Courses shall be described in the Sailing Instructions which will be available at the skippers meeting.
12. Scoring
12.1 The Mowind High point scoring will be used

The Sailing Instructions and the Event Program containing social events will be available at registration.
14. Television and Media
In consideration to being permitted to participate in or the event, competitors automatically grant the Organizing Authority the right in perpetuity to make, use and show from time to time at, their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproduction of them, taken during the period of the event.
15. Bibs/Vests & Competitors Sail Branding
During racing, competitors may be required by the organizers to wear bibs/vests carrying the event sponsors' branding and Sail Stickers above the boom. Prior to arrival on site, competitors wishing to apply their own sponsor's branding to their sails below the boom are advised to seek 'Brand Approval' from the organizer to ensure that there is no conflict with event sponsors. The decision of the organizers will be final.

17. Accommodation
The event hotel is the Travel Lodge Hotel. Please identify yourself as a Windsurfer as you register.
18. Air Travel/Transportation

19.1 Competitors must check-in on site at the registration desk located at the Race site. The registration desk will be open for all racers on June 11th 12pm-10pm, 12th 8am-10am
19.2 Competitors may enter in advance by sending an official entry form, which may be downloaded from www.worthingtonwindsurfing.com to the Worthington Chamber of Commerce. The pre-registration deadline is June 5, 2010.

19.3 Non-competitors accompanying racers are encouraged to pay to the non-competitor fee. This fee must be paid at the race site in cash, US Funds. It entitles them to: 3 Meals, Banquet, T-shirt, and Drawings.
19.4 Entry Fees

Non-Racer: $30.00
Juniors: $30.00
$ 5.00 discount for all USW members
